Benje has been around rodeo since the age of nine.  Competing in youth, high school and college has helped him to become more knowledgeable of the sport of rodeo.  Benje was a member of 4-H and FFA at John Marshall High School in San Antonio, TX.  This is where he feels he received the skills needed to perform in front of a crowd.  In 4-H, Benje served as president of the club.  His first two years of high school Benje served as sentinel of his FFA chapter.  He also served as the sentinel on the district level for the same period of time.  Benje's last two years of high school, he served as the President of his FFA chapter.  While in FFA, Benje was on many different judging teams.  Some of those teams included parliamentary team, livestock judging team and radio broadcasting team.  Benje is also a licensed auctioneer in the state of Texas.   He graduated from the Greg School of Auctioneers "most outstanding auctioneer in his class".  Benje is very knowledgeable with not just the sport of rodeo, but with the athletes also.  Whether they are World Champs, NFR qualifiers, DNCFR qualifiers, Circuit finals qualifiers or the everyday rodeo cowboy and cowgirl, they are all heroes of our game.

Benje loves the career that he has chosen.  "There are a lot of people in the world that are successful in their careers but aren't happy too".  Benje has been blessed with both.  Benje loves to travel and has announced rodeos in twenty-four states.

Benje also enjoys producing a radio report from the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas every December.  This is a day to day report for the go-round winners and the Jack Daniels world championship race.

There are many great announcers in our sport that can do a wonderful job, but if you are looking for a spontaneous, versatile, entertaining professional.... Look no further than the stand out voice of Benje Bendele.  Whether your rodeo is in the Sunshine State of Florida or in the Great Northwestern State of Oregon, from New England's First Frontier to the beautiful Southwest or the many great places in between.  There isn't a rodeo that Benje can't announce or provide sound and music.

Benje Bendele selected as
Music Director of 2001 WNFR
